It is nice to have a quick go-to quilt pattern that can be made up in short time for a last minute gift for a friend or coworker who had a baby or for a charity quilt. I designed this quick and easy baby quilt that uses a fun focus fabric and two coordinating fabrics. For my quilt "for the boys" I used a cute focus fabric with monkeys and lions.
I love to use plaids for bindings, and this plaid really finished off this quilt nicely.

ReplyDeleteI use that style of quilt for kids quilts a lot. There is one style where you sew 7 1/2" rows together and then use the pantograph "Feather Strippy Bar" to quilt it with. The designs of the pantograph fall right in between the panels. I think it is by Kathi James.
