For the Boys Blog Hop

Today is my day to participate in the "For the Boys" Blog Hop.   The purpose of this hop was to show quilts and other items especially for the "boys" in our life.

It is nice to have a quick go-to quilt pattern that can be made up in short time for a last minute gift for a friend or coworker who had a baby or for a charity quilt.  I designed this quick and easy baby quilt that uses a fun focus fabric and two coordinating fabrics.  For my quilt "for the boys" I used a cute focus fabric with monkeys and lions.

I love to use plaids for bindings, and this plaid really finished off this quilt nicely.

Kits available

If you would like to have a kit of this quilt on hand for a last-minute gift or for a charity quilt, kits are available at Stitchin' It Up Quilt Shop.  There is also a version available for little girls.  The kit includes free instructions for this quilt.

Friday Fat Quarter Frenzy

Be sure to check out this Friday's special deal on a fat quarter collection available at Stitchin' It Up Quilt Shop.  This week's collection includes a few of the prints from my quilt "for the boys" mixed with a few other.  If you would like to be informed of future weekly fat quarter collections on our Friday Fat Quarter Frenzy, be sure to like us on Facebook.

Thank you

Thank you to Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt, the mastermind behind this blog hop, and Amy from Sew Incredibly Crazy who was the organizer of this "For the Boys" blog hop.

  13. I use that style of quilt for kids quilts a lot. There is one style where you sew 7 1/2" rows together and then use the pantograph "Feather Strippy Bar" to quilt it with. The designs of the pantograph fall right in between the panels. I think it is by Kathi James.

    Your quilt is really cute.
